Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) developed an Electronic Institutional Review Board (e-IRB) system called National Research Information Management System (NRIMS) mainly to improve on the turnaround time for obtaining ethical clearance from the respective regulatory bodies and to prevent IRB shopping.
